Bi-Weekly Notes (6/7) - 2025

Writer: Haripriya SridharanHaripriya Sridharan

My past weeks have been about taking small but meaningful steps forward. TickTick has been a great help in keeping things organised—I finally managed to sort out my wardrobe, get some workouts in, streamline my cooking, and even squeeze in some coding.

  • Work has been quite busy, or rather, keeping me occupied, but it feels less stressful than before. I fell sick in between again but recovered.I also had a co-working session with Jagan in between. My mornings are usually peaceful, though they largely depend on Tars’s energy levels.

  • I attended a travelers’ meetup with Yash and Suneela at Cubbon Park, which was a lot of fun. Later, we played board games over tea at Yash’s place, where we had some super interesting conversations about different parts of the world. Definitely need to bug them more often.

  • The girls have started coming over regularly, and our weekends have turned into ice cream and juice-filled catch-ups. I should plan to organise all our stories properly.

  • I practiced piano more this week and can now read notes better. There’s still so much to learn, but I’m enjoying the process.

  • We hosted Eva, our neighbor’s pet, for four days, and it was such a delightful experience. She and Tars coexisted well—though Tars, was keen on passing on his notorious habits, he also did share his food, tried teaching her to play, playing the role of a good host.

  • Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how things have changed. Back in the day, there was a strong shared culture based on the vicinity you live in—especially coming from Chennai, movies were something we all celebrated together. Now, with so many diverse communities and interests, it feels like you can move in and out of different zones freely. It’s not necessarily a good/bad thing, just shift in trends.

  • Recently, I’ve been fascinated by modular phones. I came across the Fairphone (the latest version is 5), and I’d love to get my hands on one.

  • I watched Kathalikka Neramillai—a refreshing change. While the screenplay could have been tighter, the concepts felt fresh and bold.

  • I also got to observe the moon through my telescope, this time via our balcony. The photo above was taken with my iPhone. Hemanth keeps nudging me to make the best use of it—especially how to do astrophotography using mirrorless Cam. We have every tool in hand, but I’ll take it one step at a time.

  • I integrated comments section in my blog using BlogExtras. a platform run by my friend Yash. It’s easy to set up, and he plans to open-source it soon.
